Introduction
The Morocco training workshops took place between 6 – 24 April 2009 and was the sixth of the sustained trainings to take place. The training was delivered in cooperation with the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Agriculture, and Rural Development and Maritime Fisheries.

Training Location and Dates
The training sessions were conducted in Rabat (northern Morocco), Fes (central Morocco) and Marrakech (southern region of Morocco) between 6 – 24 April 2009.

Participants
In total 54 participants attended the training workshops with 52 veterinary services throughout the country represented. Participants were primarily Chiefs of Veterinary Services for the geographic areas represented; a few of the participants were senior level veterinary inspectors. The training beneficiaries were selected by DAH based upon their strong positions for dissemination and solid baseline knowledge and understanding of HPAI.

Experts
The technical content of the training workshops was delivered in French by two international experts Dr. Dubravka Selenic and Mr. Guy Minet.
